2008 CWSF Award Winners
This year the PRSF is sending 5 projects to the CWSF which takes place in Ottawa from May 10th to May 18th. Their projects are:- Spice of Life - Alice Yang - Holy Cross SS

- The Leaching of Bisphenol-A from Polycarbonate Bottles as a Function of Temperature - Robert Buchkowski - PCVS
- Human Decomposition - Sarah Langer - Lakefield District SS

University of Western Ontario Scholarship $2,000
Scholarship University of Ottawa $20,000 ($5,000. each year for four years)
NSERC Research Undergraduate Student Research Award $4,500. plus research award provides for a full-time (16 week) research and development internship at an eligible Canadian University

Petro-Canada Peer Award - $200 cash
Project that exemplifies innovation and excellence in science and technology as selected by the Canada-Wide Science Fair finalists.
Bronze Medal Senior Life Sciences - $300 cash

Although Sabheen Khan, Grade 12 Adam Scott and Emily Bryans, Grade 9, Holy Cross, didn't win any special awards they did receive high praise from the judges. All the students were excellent ambassadors for the City of Peterborough.
